WHAT IS IT? An invitation to Black girls ages 13-18 seeking strength, healing and community among each other in the wake of recent events. Facilitated by Dr. Tracie Gilbert of Thembi Anaiya. Join her to share what’s happening with you and to listen to what other sisters have to say. You are not alone in this. Register below. Healthy Girl Summer - July 8, 2020, 11am-12pm

Why me? Why now? What about my future? The anxiety surrounding the Coronavirus and racial justice has gripped many young, Black and Brown girls just like you. You're not alone. Join The Evoluer House for our Healthy Girl Summer workshop. Certified wellness, fitness, and nutrition specialist, Jasmine E. Henry offers tips to stay physically and mentally healthy while you’re SAFE at home. The workshop is designed to provide self care tools and explore dimensions of what matters most. Going to College Like a Savage: Classy, Bougie, Sassy (A 4-part series, July 13, 15, 20 and 22, 2020, 10am-11am

(*NOTE: Participants attending this workshop are required to attend all four sessions)

The incomparable Tiffany Scott, director of college counseling at Church Farm School and author of the upcoming book "The Chocolate Girls' Guide to Surviving the Vanilla College," will lead this workshop. She will provide resources for you to plan successfully for college - including how to choose one that fits you, how to make yourself stand out as a candidate, how to find money to pay for it and how not to lose your mind in the process.


The Diva Within Knows Her Skin - July 31, 2020, 11am-12pm

Esthetician and QVC Model Charisse Nelson, and award-winning medical esthetician and president of DermHA/Skin Health Solutions, Millie Bell, will lead this highly-informative session and teach young women how to build a good daily skincare regime, tips for caring for acne and eczema, to depuff eyes, and achieve healthy, camera-ready skin.


How to Save Your Way to Oprah’s Bank Account - One-On-One Sessions. By appointment only. 4, 30-minute slots available each week, from July 1, 2020 to August 28, 2020

Want to save money for college, a big event, or even your own car? Sign-up for one-on-one sessions with India Mayo, a young certified public accountant who works with some of the biggest names in the financial industry. During each session, India will go over basic tips for saving, building your own credit, and how student loans work. LinkedIn: Social Media Dos & Don't Even Think About Its - August 3, 2020, 11am-12pm

Have you ever been told you should create a LinkedIn profile? Do you wonder how having a LinkedIn can benefit you, or what you should even include on your profile? LinkedIn can be an intimidating social media platform, but it doesn’t have to be! In this workshop Mid-Atlantic Chapter of WiNUP (Women’s International Network of Utility Professionals) will talk about how to create a professional and engaging profile, the right way to make connections, and strategies on how to use LinkedIn to your benefit.



We’re thrilled to close out our 2020 summer workshop series with Celebrity Makeup Artist Darya Latham on the topic: “How to Rock a Flawless Everyday Makeup Look” - August 6, 2020, 4pm-5pm

Darya gives advice on how to create a flawless canvas, how to choose and apply color, and how to work with makeup brushes. Designed especially for teens, this workshop covers the essentials and teaches you how to bring out your best. The session includes a Q&A of your biggest concerns. Darya’s work has graced the magazine pages of Shape, Maxim, Marie Claire, Essence, US Weekly and Vibe, and the screens of television shows Good Morning America, The Today Show, and programs airing on ABC, MTV, Hallmark Channel, VH1 and Bravo TV. Famous faces to which Darya has provided her flawless touch include entertainment icons Missy Elliot, Vivica A. Fox, Anthony Hamilton, Kandi Burruss, Isis King and numerous others.
